What is Spoon Roast?
Spoon roast is a tenderloin cut of beef that you can cut with a spoon once it is prepared properly. It is low in points and full of protein, to help you feel full longer. Make sure you trim it or have it trimmed at the butcher so you are not cooking excess fat.

Notes
Serving size is 1 ounce
Hi there!! In Barrett’s video, she didn’t mention marinating the beef. Is this a step we can skip or does it truly flavor the meat and needs to be done? Thank you so much! Running out to the store to find a beef tenderloin roast!
I believe at the beginning she explains that the marinating process is essential to the meat being tender and delicious. She marinates hers for 2 days and so do I. Marinating is essential to break down the muscle fibers. Let me know how yours turns out when you are done.
If I have a roast frozen would I thaw it out before marinating?
I would, to ensure it absorbed the most flavor.
