Foods I Avoid on myWW
These are the foods that I have tried that just didn’t make me smile. My friend Barrett over at living life on track. has compiled a list of foods that she doesn’t like. check out her video below.
Foods I Avoid on myWW
I will describe why I don’t like the foods and it may be that what I don’t like about them you may love. So this is just a list of some of the foods I don’t like or have found that my family just doesn’t care for. We think it is good to know what foods you should buy but also the ones that look good or sound good but in actuality are not very good at all.
Coconut: I Don’t Like The Taste
Barrett and I agree on this one we do not like the flavor of coconut. The new built bar that came out recently was all the rave and everyone loved it. But for me, it was a hard pass. There isn’t anything that I have had coconut in that I can say that I have enjoyed. My daughter likes coconut so when I make treats for her I can include it.
Monkfruit Not Good For Baking
I do like monk fruit when it is added to coffee or tea but when baking with it I will have to say no. The monk fruit flavor is not conducive to baking. My family and I agree that this Stevia is a much better alternative. Barrett also agrees she doesn’t like it at all. Not one bit.
Black Bean Pasta
We agree again with Barrett that black bean pasta is a no. Like Barrett, we like black beans and my daughter loves, loves, loves pasta. She would eat noodles with every meal and snack if we let her. My wife does not like beans at all, and I like black beans when making dips mixed with salsa and sprinkled with cheese on top. I also like them in chili so for me this was a surprise. The black bean pasta did not cook up well I ended up with a pot of black bean glue I would call it. Not the pasta dish I was hoping for.
Brown Rice
I like brown rice. Barrett in her video does not. There are some people who do not care for it. I usually cook the rice in chicken broth instead of water. I also use the Ninja Foodi so the texture of the rice is wonderful. I recommend using a rice cooker or pressure cooker so that the rice is cooked fully and the flavor is infused. I add broccoli and carrots to the pot cut up chicken breast and have a one-pot meal. Barrett does not like Brown Rice so if any of you have a recipe you are willing to share leave it in the comments below and she will try it out.
Pillsbury Sugar-Free Cake Mix
I am not a fan of sugar-free anything. I personally would just as well go without. That is just me. If you have a hankering for something sweet I would use Jordan’s skinny syrups and make it from scratch. That way you know what is in it and you still get the sweet taste without the points.:) So for Barrett and I, this one is staying on the shelf at the store.
Mug Cake Make Your Own
Great advice for this one is to make your own. You can make it just the way you like it and not spend the money on a store-bought one. Not even the one from WW will stand up to your own homemade mug cake. I didn’t think the WW mug cakes were bad but I know for the money I can make several of them and I can make them in different flavors 🙂 You won’t be limited by the ones you have in your cabinet you can make the one you want when you want it.

My husband did not care for brown rice. I started using Trader Joe’s organic quick cooking rice which takes 15 minutes. I used it 50-50 with white rice and he didn’t notice. Eventually I increased the ratio until we were on the brown rice 100%. It has a nice soft texture, not as chewy as ordinary brown rice. Also, it cooks up into a larger quantity for some reason 🙂 Win-win! He is okay with the change and I get zero point rice on Purple!
Awesome advice I hope more people read this and try it out. Thank you for sharing this hack. 🙂
I love monk sugar.both the brown and white.i bake with both with great success and i dont notice a difference from using sugar. It makes me so happy because less points for treats
